Welcome to KY River RunnersImagine yourself floating down the Green River in Mammoth Cave National Park on a beautiful sunny afternoon enjoying the scenery, catching glimpses of wildlife and achieving total bliss. Now you can turn these imaginations into reality! Register today for a safe and guided tour, complete with training and equipment provided by experienced river guides. Each participant is taught how to paddle and steer a kayak, the proper technique for entry and exit, and how to feel safe and comfortable on the water. The Green River is an excellent water to learn these skills because of its slow current and wide channels. There is no white water to navigate, simply a slow and wide river winding its way through beautiful forests and cliffs. Each tour is limited to 7 kayaks so our impact on the environment is limited. KY River Runners provide two qualified guides on every tour, a Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 kayak, a Personal Flotation Device (PFD), a paddle, and training. And if someone already owns a kayak, they too can join our tour for a reduced rate. We stress safety and fun at all times and will provide you and your family, friends, or coworkers a very enjoyable experience on the Green River. |
